IFRA-Nairobi invites applications for fieldwork grants to support Masters and PhD students who conduct research in social sciences and humanities in the East African region (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, and Eastern Congo). Reporting Grant for Portuguese-speaking Journalists

Agência Pública, a nonprofit investigative journalism agency, has launched a journalism grants contest with a focus on hunger in Brazil, in partnership with Oxfam Brasil. The contest seeks pitches for original and unpublished investigative reports in any format. Four projects will be selected to receive BRL7,000 and mentorship from the agency.
